About Teej

Teej is a major festival of India, mainly Rajasthan. It's a day when women keep fast for their husbands and only after looking at the moon, break their fast with water and fruits.
India has many religion and tradition and Teej is one of them. The celebration starts right from the day before Teej when ladies put Mendhi, a pattern (tattoos) in their hand and sing and dance with their friends and relatives. On main day, that is on Teej, a strict fast is kept and is broken only after seeing and worshipping the moon.
